Shin Splint Taping

Choose and Apply the Appropriate Taping Technique from above for

Lateral Pain - Technique 1; begin at the front of the ankle wrapping to the inside around the back of the ankle and up the shin at a 45° angle, with a total of 4 repetitions.

 

Anterior or Medial Pain - Technique 2; begin at the front of the ankle wrapping to the outside around the back of the ankle and up the shin at a 45° angle, with a total of 4 repetitions.

 

Longitudinal Arch Support - Technique 3; begin on the top of the foot and wrap outward under the foot and upward across the arch pulling snugly for support, with a total of 4 repetitions.

 

Technique 4 Combines the taping methods of both 1 and 2 by alternating the inward and outward wrapping; technique 3 may be included as well.
