Spent 2006 recovering from injuries.

2005 featured a third consecutive U.S. 5000 title, a title in the 4 km US Cross Country Championships and a  5,000 p.r. of 13:11.77.

Formerly Broe was one of America’s finest steeplechasers.

After his first U.S. 5,000 track title in 2003 a broken foot bone sidelined him for the rest of the season. He returned to win the 2004 Olympic Trials

Broe set the American 3000 indoor record in 2002 at 7:39.23 which broke the record established by all time American great Steve Scott in 1981.

Also in 2002 Broe produced an amazing single-day double at USA Indoors by winning the 3,000m in 7:50.09 and following up with a third place finish in the mile breaking the four-minute barrier in 3:58.81.

He was a human performance major while at Alabama.
