Early Meets Prove Challenging
March 30, 2015
The early season has highlighted the youth problems of the Knights. Normal bad weather practice limitations coupled with some unavailability issues of veterans has put a great deal of weight upon the younger members of the RHS team. The results of the Dunlap meet (a 111-35 loss) and at the Cogdal Relays demonstrate that there will, as always, be a learning curve for the Knight youngsters...one to which they are expected to react favorably over time.
Cogdal did provide some indicia of upcoming positives. frosh thrower Noah Worthy adjusted her positioning in RHS All-Time Lists raising it to Shot Put #10 with a 34' 11¼" toss. That #10 ranking was matched by another freshman, Tiarra Smith, in the High Jump with a 4' 10" clearance. Senior Andrea Baumgartel posted a 5:50.59 in the 1600 to become RHS 1600 List #26, while former RHS softballer Aniya Scott joined Worthy in the shot list with a 29' 7" effort to place #36.
