Notre Dame provided visiting Richwoods with a full measure of
competition in a tightly contested meet. The excitement of the meet was
exaggerated because of there being no official running total score. As a
result each coaching staff could be observed regularly attempting to
keep the score current on their sheets. Once
again the strength of the Knights sprints provided the margin of victory.
Richwoods won
the Medley (Unes, Ward, A. Smith, Lovingood - 1:55.3), 4x100 (Unes,
Ward, Gordon, A. Smith - :50.8), 4x200 (Unes, Ward, Gordon, J. Smith -
1:53.9). The 4x400 relay of LaPorschua Lindsey, Deja Davis,
Stephanie Lovingood and Brittney Wallace stormed to win in 4:19.3.
The 100 and 200 meter dash winner Alisha Smith's (top right) ran a season's best :12.1
in the 100. Nathalie Razo (middle right) produced a double career best
day - 32' 2" for the win
in the triple jump (Number 5 RHS all time) and :52.9 in the 300 hurdles.
Jewel
Sanders (bottom right) continued her attack in the throws with a career best 34'
11" in the shot, the 3rd best throw in RHS Women's Track history.
The
performance closed the dual meet season for Richwoods with an 8-0 dual
meet record. This marked the 6th consecutive undefeated season for the
Knights in dual meets and ran their undefeated dual meet streak to 52.
