Richwoods traveled to Morton with a different game plan than it has shown this year.  In an attempt to further determine the interchangeability of the Knights, Coach Joe Maier elected to leave Alisha Smith out of the open 100m and 200m dashes and instead have her anchor the 4x400 relay.  This was a particularly interesting twist to the meet lineup since Illinois Prep Top Times ranks Smith as the 4th and 10th best returning sprinter statewide in the two open dash events. While this may have provided the host Potters with a glimmer of hope in those races, it was short lived as the Knights still swept the sprints with Biannca Ward, Jessica Smith and Laura Unes claiming the 100 and Ward, Ashley Gordon, and Jessica Smith the 200. The experiment was also successful in the 4x400 with LaPorschua Lindsey, Brittney Wallace and Stephanie Lovingood joining Smith for a 4:26.4 clocking in their win. Lovingood and Smith ran :64.8 and :65.3 legs respectively.

In the field Jewel Sanders again showed amazing inprovement with a discus throw of 107' 7", which places her third on the Knights' all time list. Freshman Amanda Schroeder became the 7th lady Knight to clear the bar in pole vault competition in placing third in the event. With her 5' 0" high jump effort, Stephanie Lovingood became the first Knight to clear that height since Kari Rupert jumped 5' 2" in 1989.

Knights' performances which either moved onto or into a higher position on the all-time Richwoods performance lists were:

Jewel Sanders 3rd Discus 107'   7"
Stephanie Lovingood 4th High Jump 5'   0"
Amanda Schroeder 5th Pole Vault 5'   6"
J.Smith, Ward, Gordon, A.Smith 25th 4x100 :51.8
Biannca Ward 30th 200 :27.9

    Congratulations to all.
