Knights Overwhelm Woodruff

    In a mid-spring break meet Richwoods traveled to the Peoria Stadium to take on an undermanned Woodruff team in a dual meet. Unfortunately for Woodruff the Knights showed up. The result was a resounding victory for the Knights by a 138 - 8 count. The Knights allowed Woodruff to claim only 3 of the 47 scoring postions in the meet.

    Nathalie Razo made her debut as a triple jumper with a 28' 4" effort for third place. Several career bests were set by Knights competitors including Brittney Wallace (100 H - :18.4), Amber Gayles (100 H - :18.7, 300 H - :57.2) and Alesha Guard (1600 - 6:31.4). Additionally, career bests moved three Knights up in the All Time Richwoods Career Bests - Alisha Smith in the 100m (:12.3) now tied for 7th, Laura Unes in the Triple Jump (30' 0") now 9th, and Desiree Parkman who now holds 15th place in the Shot Put with 31' 9".

    Team season bests were achieved by Alisha Smith in the 100 (:12.3) and 200 (:26.7), Barbara Hale in the Triple Jump (31'  3") and the 4 x 200 Relay quartet of Barbara Hale, Laura Unes, Ashley Gordon and Alisha Smith with a 1:50.4 clocking.

    The Knights now have extended their dual meet streak to 41 consecutive wins.
